Cousins in Orkut land!

I have mentioned about my cousins Adwait and Aditi here before. For those who don’t know them, they are my little cousins. Adwait is half my age old and Aditi, one third (the ratio almost works for height too, I guess). So, a week back I had a call from Adwait asking me how to get an e-mail address. I was so excited to tell him how and within 10 minutes we created an e-mail id for Adwait. Two days later I got an orkut friend invitation from Adwait with a profile picture of Mamooty (his favorite actor). I just smiled and added him.

And yesterday when I opened my mailbox there was this mail notification and I could not stop smiling. It said the following…

“Vivek chetan, add me also as friend in orkut..”    from aditi3d8@….com.

Initially, the smile was for the message but soon it was for the e-mail id. Adwait might have helped her create the id but the choice of id should have been Aditi’s.

Later, I spent some time reading their as well as their friends’ profiles.. Some of the interesting things which I saw in a kid’s profile are

About me: I am studying in eighth. My best friends are Sanjay, Rohan and Thomas. (For most of us, these were the first lines of our introduction for a long time, right?)
passions: I like my father the most, then my mother, then all my relatives and then friends. (Sounds familiar? )
cuisines: I love as well as hate them..

Good or Bad, I am not against kids using computers… I am waiting for Aditi and Adwait to grow and master this wonderful tool. Will they start a blog one day and write about me ??
