My mother noticed that we (my uncle and me) were not listening to her and were completely involved in the T20 semifinals, which might have prompted her to say this… Amma: Isn’t this the semifinal match between India and Australia? She laughed and walked back to kitchen in style while we gazed each other. How long a second can be??? It’s too long a time when it comes to computing. It so happened that I switched on the microcontroller which had a code with a silly (?) bug in it. Seconds later I realized and fixed it but found that the code is not working. Awh.. it irritates me a lot when the code with perfect (!) logic fails to work. I spent a lot of time on this *so said* correct code, but the fact is I forgot about the first stupid move (switching on the mc with wrong code). That did the trick – 8 bytes of EEPOM memory got dead. Note that , it takes about 1 lakh writes for a EEPROM cell to wear out. So, is that an achievement?? :D. (8 lakh writes in less than 10 secs!!!)   Changing the EEPROM addresses made me smile. It worked!.. It worked last week too, so getting it worked is not a big deal. The happiness was due to the reason that I could manage to reduce the size of the code a lot and now it looks much more elegant (Even I felt ashamed of the code I wrote before). I even adde...

This is about 3 interesting girls I met today.   One:   This happened today morning at the restaurant. I was late today (as usual) and was running out of time and the decision of having food was just to keep the promise I had given my mother that I wont bunk my breakfast. At the cash desk, just after ordering bread-omelet I had this temptation to have a vadai . And I asked the girl at the other end…   Me: Is there Vadai?   Girl: Can I take coffee?   Me: There is no vadai?   Girl: What about Tea?   Holding my nerves, I said…   What I asked was “Is there Vadai or not?”   Girl: Let me look..       !!!!   I didn’t get an answer for another five minutes (I didn’t expect one.) and then she came with the food I ordered and said “Sorry Sir, there is no vadai” …     Two:   At noon I headed to the nearest studio to take a snap of mine as I was supposed to provide one at office today.
