Balaman in news!

Don’t get confused with superman or spiderman when you hear ‘Balaman’. It is the short form of Balan Ammavan (uncle). He is my mother’s uncle and she calls him Balaman and we (me, my brother, my cousins etc..) took it(the name) as it is. I have mentioned about him once here. When I met him a couple of months back he mentioned about this free yoga classes which he was giving to the people of his village, I felt proud of him. And last week this news was in Mathrubhumi (one of the leading newspapers of Kerala).

The hall is sponsored by Brahmanasabha of Achyuthapuram temple. The training is completely free of cost which includes yoga training, breathing exercise and meditation. V Balaram, C M Vijayan, M Girijan, Jayaram, Jayan, Suresh Babu leads the training team.

There are much more activities like camps against tobacco and plastic usage, cleanliness etc… in the panchayat plan.
